The tunnel the ambulance take Arthur’s mother is the 1st avenue tunnel by the UN buidling in Manhattan, I work in that area!

THE hall entrance of Arthur’s apartment is the building just to the right of the 3 archs , down Anderson avenue (number 1140, but not 1147), another building with 3 archs. The pic of entrance shown in this article is wrong.
