Where is young Kyle’s Reese’s house in the last scene actually located?
Willow St. Nicasio, CA, 30 minutes north of San Francisco
Thank you Bahza!
I can’t find a Willow St in Nicasio. What’s the cross street?
Difficult one. I’ll do my best to try and find it for you
It’s such a pretty location. I was just wondering where it was. If you can’t find it, that’s ok.
San Francisco Metro Hospital is the Lions building at 2020 Gravier St, New Orleans, LA 70112.
The gas tanker explosion during the helicopter chase scene is at 245 California St, San Francisco, CA 94111
I had to do some movie research recently and sharing some of my info since your site was so helpful 🙂 For young Kyle’s home, it’s a compilation of different shots (not all are in Nicasio). The intro scene which is an aerial flying towards the house I don’t think is of Willow Street as the road configuration doesn’t match the aerial in Google Maps. However, the ending scene where the car drives off is definitely that street. The actual house itself (have not verified but almost certain) is Straus Family Ranch in nearby Marshall, CA. Even there I think they did some creative compositing as there’s no barn next to the house. For the shots towards the house they probably constructed a frame with doors to shoot through and the reverse into the barn looks like it’s part of the house – perhaps a garage on the backside.
Also the scene where Kyle & Sarah first meet with John Connor in the car garage I’m also 90% certain it’s the Sutter Stockton Garage in San Francisco (bottom level). The city keeps a database of all filming permits and that garage is listed for this production.
That final scene when they’re driving off – it appears there’s a huge estate up in Nicasio on Willow Rd for sale – for like $18m! Place is INSANE. Winery, olives, Japanese gardens, all Japanese architecture, guest house, workshop, trails, etc., etc. There’s even a god damn wine bunker (they call it a wine cave). I must say, the whole aesthetic really adds to the innate beauty of the place. Whoever built it had good vision. Picturesque like Bibi Reynolds noted.
