Rambo is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Rambo series. He is a former United States Army Special Forces soldier who fought in Vietnam and served in the Green Berets.
Rambo first blood was a movie released on October 22, 1982. It was directed by Ted Kotcheff, who also directed another Rambo movie – Rambo 3. This film stars Sylvester Stallone as John James Rambo, who defends himself from local law enforcement and later fights Soviet soldiers during the Soviet war in Afghanistan.
Filming mostly took place in the small populated town of Hope in BC, Canada. With other locations such as Pitt Meadows, where Rambo smashes his way through a cop car barricade when making his way back to the small town of Hope for the big finale.
