“Friday” is a 1995 American stoner comedy film directed by F. Gary Gray and written by Ice Cube, who also starred in the film alongside Chris Tucker. The film centers around two friends, Ice Cube’s character Craig Jones and Tucker’s character Smokey, trying to figure out how to get Smokey’s $200 drug debt to a local dealer paid by the end of the day, which is a Friday. The film was a box office success and has since become a cult classic. Ice Cube also co-wrote and co-produced the film and composed some of the film’s music.
