Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a 2017 American adventure comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Scott Rosenberg, and Jeff Pinkner. The film is a spiritual sequel and continuation of the 1995 film Jumanji and stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and Bobby Cannavale. In the film, four teenagers are transported into the world of Jumanji, a jungle-themed video game, where they assume the avatars of in-game characters and must complete the game in order to return to the real world.
Filming primarily took place in Hawaii, with some scenes also filmed in Atlanta, Georgia where Alex’s house is located.
