Field of Dreams is a 1989 American fantasy film starring Kevin Costner, based on W. P. Kinsella’s novel Shoeless Joe.
The movie is set in Iowa, and tells the story of Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner), an Iowa farmer who hears a voice telling him to build a baseball diamond in his cornfield. He does so, and the voice tells him to “If you build it, he will come.”
